hello! i need some help. so i have a lenovo yoga 7i touchscreen laptop as well as a lenovo pen. when trying to draw on animal jam classic with this, it does not work. it lets me create dots, but no lines - it doesn't work while moving. i am aware the common fix for this seems to be to turn off windows ink, but unfortunately this doesn't seem to be so simple.
i've tried the regedit trick, no change. i can't turn it off through group policy because i am running windows 11 home. i have also tried looking in task manager > services for 'touch screen and keyboard', as this seems to also be a way to do this, but it's not there either. in settings > pen & windows ink, i've disabled 'use your handwriting to enter text' and only have disabled everything under additional pen settings except 'let me use my pen as a mouse when available" and have tested 'ignore touch when using pen' on/off. i've also tried updating my drivers and wacom drivers as i've learned that lenovo pens use wacom services. i've seen in other posts that people have the option to turn off windows ink in the program for whatever pen they're using (like huion or bamboo pens) but lenovo pens only have the lenovo pen app, which does not have this option.
i found a SLIGHT and temporary workaround. my lenovo pen has two buttons on the barrel that you can customize, one of which i customized to left click when i press it. so i am able to draw with the pen if i hold down this button, which isn't ideal and causes my hand to cramp.
anyone have any insight? anything is appreciated. thank you in advance!
