Actions are certain things that Animals can do. These actions are sitting, dancing, hopping, sleeping, and playing for animals on land, and posing, dancing, diving, swirling, and playing in the oceans. The way that an animal does an action depends on what animal it is. Generally, the actions of sitting, hopping, and sleeping, or diving, swirling, and posing, are fairly similar among most animals, but dancing and playing usually varies very greatly. Actions can be accessed with the "actions" tab, and then can be done by clicking on the desired action. While doing an action, the animal can only do it in the spot it is in; moving from that spot will cause the animal to stop doing the action.

Land Actions[]

Sit[]

The animal will sit in one of four directions. These directions are southwest, southeast, northwest, and northeast. Most animals do this action in a fairly similar fashion, but there are still variations depending on the animal.

Dance[]

The animal will do a dance of some kind. This varies greatly depending on the animal.

Sleep[]

The animal will (usually) lay down and sleep. This action is fairly similar among most animals, but there are some differences as well.

Hop[]

The animal jumps up and down. Generally, this is almost the same among animals, but often there are differences, such as how high the animal jumps.

Play[]

The animal does another action of some sort. This also varies greatly depending on the animal, and often has to do with something the animal does in the wild (for example, the wolf howls, the deer eats grass before looking around, and the eagle will fly in a circle and then swoop down).

Underwater Actions[]

Pose[]

This action is similar to the land's "sit" action, but the animal can only pose left or right (east/west). Like the "sit" action, it is also somewhat similar among animals.

Swirl[]

The animal swirls around in a circle. It is a little like the "hop" action, and is also relatively similar among animals.

Dive[]

The animal goes down, and then goes back up. It also is relatively similar among animals.

Dance[]

The animal does a dance, similar to the land version of this. This varies depending on the animal.

Play[]

This is similar to the "play" action on land. This varies depending on the animal.

Trivia[]

  • Certain actions cannot be done while being next to another animal. For instance, if a player sleeps and another player hops on them, the sleeping animal will stand up. This was likely done because some players were using this inappropriately.
  • The "play" action for Pandas changed positions in August 2015 presumably because it looked somewhat inappropriate when it rolled on its back.
  • Some dance and play options are references to popular legends, myths, and pop culture, for instance, the elephant's "play" move might reference the movie "Dumbo", and some reference what an animal may do in the wild, such as the lion roaring, or might reference its domestic counterpart, such as the coyote chasing its tail like a dog or the lynx playing with a ball of yarn.
  • Pets have their own set of actions as well, and a player carrying a pet while doing an action will result in the pet doing the same action.
  • Actions must sometimes be used in Adventures to advance. In seasonal Adventures they can be used alongside other players or simply just the player to reach treasure or required items.
