Animal Jam Classic Wiki - Request for Rights

Welcome to the Animal Jam Classic Wiki Request for Rights system. Please read the information below before creating a new request or voting on one.

Creating a request
Efforts have been made to reduce the amount of complexity in the process of creating the RfR. After ensuring you meet the requirements set for the rights you are requesting, click the relevant button and fill out the summary, briefly explaining why you believe you are suitable before clicking the "Submit" button. This will automatically create the page required and redirect you there. After this, you should contact an admin so that they may notify the community of your RfR through an announcement.
While it is possible for a user to belong to several groups at once (for example, a user may be a custodian and a discussions moderator if they fulfill the requirement for both positions), only one RfR should be active at a time.

Voting on a request
Please check that you meet the voting requirement of having joined this wiki at least 35 days before voting and having made at least 50 general edits. On each request, there will be a "Vote" button that opens up a voting pop-up dialog. Select one of the relevant vote options (Support, Neutral, or Oppose) from the drop-down and enter a reason for voting in the text box before submitting. The vote can be changed at a later time by clicking the "Vote" button once again and updating the vote before clicking the "Change" button or the "Remove" button to remove the vote altogether.

Bureaucrat

Bureaucrats are typically the longest serving and most reliable users on the wiki. Bureaucrat RfR's are typically only possible at points when a previous bureaucrat has stepped down.

Despite not having very many abilities of itself, bureaucrats almost without exception also have admin rights as well.

  • Change the rights of everyone on the wiki, with the exception of demoting other bureaucrats

Requirements:

  • 12 consecutive months on the wiki
  • 1000 mainspace edits

Miscellaneous

In order for a RfR to be considered successful, it must have 4 or more votes and at least 75% support. Neutral votes count towards the total of votes but do not count as support.

An RfR may be deemed unsuccessful and closed if one or more of the following conditions are met:

  • The user had another RfR that was still active in the last 2 weeks
  • The user does not meet the requirements set for the user rights
  • The user was blocked at any time during the last 2 weeks
  • The RfR was created as a joke or as an effort to spam the wiki

Previous requests that have ended can be found on the Animal Jam Classic Wiki Archives.
Additional details regarding the voting process may be found on the voting policy page.
Additional details regarding the different user rights may be found on the user rights guide.
