Den-Tutorial Edit-Den

The Edit Den menu is a feature of all Dens and it was introduced during the Beta Testing. This menu allows Jammers to perform various actions, but primarily it is intended to allow customization of the den.

Den Tutorial[]

When a New Jammer first enters their den after creating an account, they are prompted with a tutorial narrated by Peck. Following this tutorial is optional, and it will remain available until the player enters the Edit Den menu for the first time. As part of this tutorial, Peck explains the basics of the den inventory, including how to place, move, rotate, and put away den items. Peck also explains how to access the shop, preview items, and purchase them. The player will also receive two rewards of 150 Gems each for completing this tutorial.

Den Inventory[]

The primary feature of the Edit Den menu is access to the den inventory. This inventory is similar to the clothing accessory inventory seen in the Change Your Look menu. It appears as a long row of items with arrows on either side to cycle through them. Items that have been placed in the den appear with an orange background while items that are not placed will appear with a light tan background. Clicking an item in the inventory will toggle its placement in the den; if it is placed anywhere in the den, it will be immediately removed, but if it is not placed, it will be immediately placed at the center of the current view. The inventory size is limited to 1000 den items for players with Membership and 200 den items for non-members; however, members can only place a maximum of 500 den items and non-members can only place 100.

Clear Den[]

At the top-center of the den screen towards the left is a button that looks like a short broom. Clicking this will put away all placed den items immediately, although there is a pop-up confirmation to make sure that this is the desired action.

Inventory Sorting[]

The den inventory can be sorted into specific groups using the tabs that appear along the top-left of the inventory menu. The possible groups are All, Furniture, Decorations, Plants, Walls & Floors, Wall Items, and Pets. If the player does not have any items of a particular group, that group table will not be shown. Clicking any of these tabs will change the den inventory to only show items in that particular group.

Searching[]

In addition to the sorting groups, players can use the search box along the top-center to enter any custom search text. This will update the den inventory view to only show items that contain the specified text.

Recycle Items[]

Just to the right of the search text box is the Recycling button. Clicking this will allow the player to select any number of den items to be recycled for Gems. After the items are selected and the Recycle button is pressed, the player will be shown one last pop-up to confirm which items will be recycled.

Decorating[]

While editing the den, the owner can interact with items placed from the inventory. When hovered over with the cursor, a white border will appear around the placed item along with additional controls to flip the item horizontally, flip the item vertically, or to store the item back in the inventory. Clicking and dragging a placed item will allow the owner to reposition it anywhere in the den. The den can be navigated during editing by clicking and dragging on any blank space where no items have been placed. Placed items can be layered on top of one another, with items towards the bottom of the den appearing on top of the items towards the top.

Walls & Floors[]

Unlike most other items, wallpaper and flooring items cannot be moved or rotated in a den. Additionally, only one of each type can be placed at a time. When placed, these items appear underneath all other items as a pattern on walls or floors in certain areas of the den. The patterns used are similar to their icons for most older dens, but many newer dens offer custom patterns for each wallpaper and flooring that are not found in any other den.

Switch Your Den[]

Den-Edit Switch-Dens

Included along the top-right of the Edit Den bar is a button that allows Jammers to change their current den. Clicking this will show the Switch Dens screen where the player can see a list of dens that they own. Clicking on any den other than the current one will immediately switch to that den. Clicking an empty slot will open the Den Shop so that the player can preview other dens and optionally purchase one; if a new den is purchased this way, the current den will immediately switch to the newly purchased one. If the player clicks the recycle button at the bottom-left corner, they will be able to select multiple dens to be recycled in exchange for Gems.

Shopping[]

Shop For Your Den[]

The final button on the Edit Den panel is for shopping. Clicking this will open Jam Mart Furniture so that den items can be viewed and purchased directly without having to leave the den. It should be noted that when this button is clicked during the den tutorial, a different shop is opened although it still says "Jam Mart Furniture" at the top.

Music[]

At the top-center towards the right side is an icon that looks like a tall speaker with a music note. Clicking this will open the player's music inventory. Players with a Membership can select an owned music track click on the Shop button to enter the Music Shop where they can then listen to other tracks and optionally purchase them. Non-members are also able to view this menu and the shop, but they cannot purchase any additional music and they can only select the AJ Melody or the Club Geoz (Music), if received from a Jazwares Toys promo Code, to play in their den. The music inventory can store up to 47 tracks (48 when counting the default AJ Melody track).

Lock Your Den[]

Den-Edit Den-Lock

There is a padlock icon at the top center of the Edit Den screen that accesses the Den Lock menu. In this menu, the player can choose who can enter their den. The available choices are Everyone, Buddies, and Nobody. This menu can also be accessed from the My Settings popup.
