Falling Phantoms is a mini-game located in the top corner of the Lost Temple of Zios as well as at the Sol Arcade. The game can also be played using the den version of Falling Phantoms. This game was first introduced on July 3, 2012.

The player must move back and forth using the arrow keys, avoiding the flaming phantoms that are falling out of the sky due to the erupting volcano in the background, hence the name.

There are three phases to the volcano's eruption: in the first phase, the sky is light blue and the phantoms are small and few; in the second phase, the phantoms are larger and the sky becomes orange-red; and in the final phase, the phantoms are huge, fall in large groups, gem bonuses appear, and the sky is a dark crimson.

The rewards for this game are Gems. The maximum number of Gems the player can earn is 400 by lasting until the timer stops and also collecting all of the gem bonuses. If the player loses the game in the first round ahead of anyone else, five Gems are usually awarded.

There are eight achievements that can be earned by playing Falling Phantoms:

  • The game is similar to Helmet but has multiplayer as well as a timer.
  • The names of the Achievements for this game are all related to real-life volcanoes. For example, 'Ring Of Fire' is a reference to an area in the Pacific Ocean that contains most of Earth's volcanoes.
  • Like Jamaa Derby and Splash and Dash, this is an interactive game with a set number of players.
  • Bots will automatically join the game if there are not enough Jammers when the game starts.
  • In the adventure Greely's Inferno, there are falling Phantoms that look similar to the ones in this game and have the exact same sounds as they fall.
  • Some Jammers hide in the corners in large groups, but they often become trapped and cannot avoid the phantoms that land in the corners.
  • Gems appear on the side of the screen farthest from the player. Because of this, some Jammers stay close to the middle so that they are closer to the gems when they appear.
  • There is an occasional glitch where the player appears to be alone in the game, but there are still other players.
  • There is a glitch that causes a bot to appear almost identical to the player.
  • There is a glitch that causes the player's animal to change appearance after playing the game. Changing the animal's appearance (color, eyes etc.) back to how it was before rarely fixes this, and the only solution is often to refresh or log out.
  • There is a glitch where more than 6 players are connected into one game. The extras are invisible. Sometimes, if the time is not up and 6 players have gotten out because of the phantoms, the remaining players are immediately given the bonus for lasting until the timer stops.
  • The introduction of the Games button on October 1, 2015, allows an underwater animal to join the game. The underwater player's avatar is invisible when they join.
  • There is sometimes a glitch where all the players animal names are identical to the player's own animal name.
  • There is an occasional glitch where the player appears to be controlling another Jammer's animal instead of their own. When this happens, the player's animal is often visible in the game but is controlled by a bot instead of the player.
  • There is a glitch where the player will have a different animal (using the same colors and pattern). If the player's original animal has an exclusive color or pattern, the next one is chosen.
  • If the player is given a different animal in Falling Phantoms, on very rare occasion the animal stays with the player. This is sometimes how non-members are able to use a member animal. This is fixed by reloading the page.
  • Often while playing via Google Chrome, the keys will not move the animal on the crimson level.
