Fast Foodies is a single-player minigame. It was introduced on March 30, 2017, and it can be accessed through the Games menu. It could formerly also be accessed outside the entrance to Captain Melville's Juice Hut in Crystal Sands, but was removed at an unknown time. It returned playable outside the entrance to Captain Melville's Juice Hut in Crystal Sands at an unknown time.

Gameplay[]

The player's goal in this game is to serve a variety of food to customers as quickly as possible. The types of food available to order depend on the level and the location. After a customer has been served, they will place a pile of Gems on the counter; the player must then click each pile to take the payment and add it to their score. Each level has a certain goal for Gems to be earned, and the next level can only be unlocked by finishing with at least half of the goal. There are 40 levels in total; they are divided evenly into two categories, the Juice Hut (which is based on Captain Melville's Juice Hut) and Sarepia Theater (based on the Theater Lobby). The Sarepia Theater category can only be unlocked by clearing all the levels in the Juice Hut category. The gameplay becomes progressively more difficult with each level in the form of having more customers to serve and new food items to prepare.

Happiness[]

Each animal will have a certain amount of patience while waiting to be served their food; this corresponds to the amount of time (30, 20, or 10 seconds) they are willing to wait for their food. For animals that are ordering multiple food items, serving them part of their order will increase their patience timer by 10 (up to the maximum of their original patience time). The color of an animal's order will change to reflect their happiness: from blue to yellow when half of the animal's patience has elapsed, and then from yellow to red when four-fifths (80%) of the patience timer has elapsed. When an order is completed and served to a happy animal, the player will receive 20 Gems; however, the player will only receive 10 Gems if the final food item for an animal's order is received when the animal's happiness level is yellow or red. If an animal's order is not completed by the time their patience timer reaches 0, the animal will leave without paying any Gems.

There are two stages: Juice Hut and Sarepia Theater. Each has 20 levels. The player must first complete all Juice Hut levels before they can move on to Sarepia Theater.

Trivia[]

  • After receiving their orders, animals with blue happiness levels will display a smile emoticon and do their dance action while other happiness levels will cause the animal to display the worried emoticons and sometimes do their play action. Animals that don't receive their order will display the angry emoji and run off.
  • The Juice Hut setting uses similar background elements as those found in the actual in-game location, Captain Melville's Juice Hut, but the room's layout and furnishings are different. Most notably, the counter where the player serves food from is in a different location and the baskets of fruit for the smoothies are facing the player rather than the customers.
  • This is one of the few regular, single-player minigames that does not have a den item version of it and can't be played at the Sol Arcade.
  • A game by the same name was released in Animal Jam - Play Wild! before it was added to Animal Jam Classic.
  • If a player completes all the orders but waits too long to collect the payments, they can fail the level.
  • There is a glitch where the Gems pile paid by an animal with a red happiness level will appear smaller than the Gems pile paid by an animal with a yellow happiness level; however, both piles will reward the same amount of Gems when clicked.
  • There is a glitch where the "Next Level" button will appear greyed-out if the player replays a previous level and then fails to pass it. This then requires the player to either replay the previous level again to pass it or go back to the menu to select the next level.
