The Look of the Week was a recurring contest on The Daily Explorer that was first introduced on September 27, 2016. During each week, AJHQ would review "looks" (a fully customized animal with colors, patterns, and clothing accessories) to select their favorite. This contest was discontinued around the start of 2018. The contest was briefly rebooted in May 2018 as the "Jammer Looks" video series, but that was also discontinued.
Jammer Selection[]
Although it was possible to manually submit a look, AJHQ would also look among active players for potential looks and could select one of those instead of a submitted look.
“ | Each week we look for a creative and unique look while we're online in Animal Jam! When we spot a cool look that we like, we send them an AJHQ plaque to hang in their den! | „ |

Submitting a Look[]

The Jammer Central submission system can be used to manually submit a look.
Submissions for this contest were to be uploaded to AJHQ through Jammer Central, the community message board located in the center of Jamaa Township. These submissions had to include a snapshot of the Jammer's customized animal by clicking on the attachment button, which looks like a "+" sign next to a drawing of a cat, and selecting a screenshot image that has already been saved to their computer. The screenshot of the look could be obtained from the Photo Booth or by manually taking a screenshot of the in-game look (see Animal Jam Help Center for specific steps).
Rewards[]
Jammers that won this contest would have their look featured on The Daily Explorer and they would receive an AJHQ Plaque from AJHQ in a Jam-A-Gram.
Trivia[]
- The AJHQ Plaque rewarded in this contest was previously associated with the Jammer Snaps contest.
- Originally, winners of this contest would have their screenshots featured directly on The Daily Explorer. However, these screenshots were replaced with custom art of the Jammer's animal starting in February 2017.
