Pet Firefly

The Pet Firefly is a non-member land pet. It was released in June 2016 and it is rewarded as a promotional gift on the Adopt A Pet Checklist after adopting 15 different pets from the Adopt A Pet Jazwares Toys.

Appearance

The pet firefly has a small, semicircle like body, and medium-length antennae and wings. It has a glittery animation around the lower part of its body. Its lower abdomen alternates between lighting up and turning off.

Action	Description
	The pet firefly flies upward sharply, glows pale yellow for a moment, then flies back to its original position.
	The pet firefly lands on the ground, still flapping its wings.
	Three small flowers appear beneath the Firefly, who flies to each one, tapping them.
	The pet firefly flies forward and backward in a swinging motion.
	The pet firefly closes eyes and bobs up and down while cartoon 'Z's emanate from it.
	The pet firefly flies upward sharply, glows pale yellow for a moment, then flies back to its original position.

These accessories can be found at the Pet Stop. The rare accessories can only be found in the Pets Only Party and the Play-As-Your-Pet Party.

Trivia

There is a glitch in showing a pet firefly as a Diamond pet.
Another glitch is when the firefly appears bigger than a regular firefly pet on a trade list.
There is a glitch in making a new pet firefly where all of the eye categories except the first one show up as underwater den items with a member lock on it. There is also a gift icon in the bottom right corner. The items do not show up.
When it was first released, there was a glitch where the screen for the Pet Stop turned black, preventing the pet from being customized. However, this glitch has since been fixed.
This is one of the only non member flying pets, along with the pet Honeybee and pet Dove.
In August 2016, there used to be a glitch where those that traded for a Pet Firefly could buy more Pet Fireflies. This glitch was later fixed and like all rare-tag pets now, you cannot buy more of them in-game.
The Pet Galactic Firefly, a pet similar to the Firefly, was released in May 2020 and was redeemable by using the code in the Animal Jam Spring Box, the Night Sky Box.
